Care tips

Both Alocasias thrive in bright, indirect light. A spot near an east- or west-facing window is ideal. Avoid harsh midday sun, as it can scorch their leaves. They prefer stable temperatures and dislike drafts.

They’re thirsty but sensitive. Keep the soil lightly moist, allowing the top layer to dry out slightly between waterings. In winter, you can water a bit less. Use lukewarm water and make sure the pot has drainage holes — wet feet are a no-go.

They love high humidity. Mist them regularly or place them on a tray with water and hydro granules. During the growing season, feed them monthly with a foliage plant fertilizer. Note: both are toxic to pets, so keep them out of reach of curious noses.
