Care tips

Sansevieria Futura is a plant you should leave alone — and we mean that as a compliment. She loves dry feet and stores water in her leaves, allowing her to go weeks without care. In summer, give her a small splash of water every two weeks, and in winter she can easily go six to eight weeks without. In doubt? It’s better to wait — overwatering is her only weakness.

As for placement, she’s flexible, though she prefers bright, indirect light. She also does well in partial shade, as long as it’s not too dark. Avoid placing her in full sun, as this can discolor her leaves. The ideal temperature is between 15 and 25°C, and she doesn’t need extra humidity. In short: a plant that effortlessly adapts to your rhythm and space.

Repotting is only needed every few years, when she literally outgrows her pot. Choose a pot at least 20% larger than the previous one, and add a layer of clay pebbles for drainage.
