Care tips

Both Alocasias prefer partial shade to indirect light. A spot near an east- or west-facing window is ideal. Avoid harsh midday sun, as it can scorch their leaves. They thrive best in a stable environment without drafts or temperature swings.

They’re thirsty but sensitive. Keep the soil lightly moist, allowing the top layer to dry slightly between waterings. It’s better to water little and often than all at once. In winter, reduce watering slightly. Make sure the pot has drainage holes to prevent root rot.

They love high humidity. Mist them regularly or place them on a tray with water and hydro granules. During the growing season, feed them monthly with a foliage plant fertilizer. Note: both are toxic to pets, so keep them out of reach of curious noses.
