Care tips

Billietiae loves bright, indirect light. Place her near an east- or west-facing window where she gets plenty of light without direct sun. Too much sunlight can scorch her leaves, while too little will slow her growth and dull her colors. Morning sun is fine, but avoid harsh midday rays.

When it comes to watering: keep the soil lightly moist, but never wet. Let the top 2–3 cm of soil dry out before watering again. In spring and summer, water her weekly; in winter, a bit less is fine. Use a well-aerated potting mix with perlite and orchid bark for optimal drainage. Make sure excess water can drain freely.

Although she tolerates drier air reasonably well, Billietiae appreciates moderate to high humidity. Mist her occasionally or place her near other plants. During the growing season, feed her every two weeks with a foliage plant fertilizer. Repot her every two years and give her space to keep climbing.
